This room is named for Annie Layton, the second owner of the home from 1913 until 1955. The bedroom has a fireplace with original mantel and surrounded with lovely old ceramic tiles. The fireplace is fitted with gas logs, for cozy evenings. Guests rave about the comfortable, antique queen size iron bed, lovely antique furniture and decorated with old prints and collections. The bath (en suite) has a bath and shower.
Room rate: $160.00 daily, plus city and state tax.
Internet Access:Both Willie's and Annie's room have WiFi Internet connections.
Payment and Cancellation Policy: The Schooler House takes MasterCard, Visa, check, or cash. Deposits (one night stay) are required to hold reservations. Credit card information will be held as deposit and run upon arrival. A full refund is gladly refunded up to 10 days prior to arrival minus a $25 cancellation fee.
During special weekends, such as Mary Wasington graduation, parents week, holiday weekends, etc, the cancellation time is extended to 30 days. However, if a cancellation is made fewer than 30 days prior to your arrival date, or if you are a "no show," every attempt will be made to book your room. If the room is not booked you will be responsible for the entire amount of the reservation, as the room was held specifically for you. Early departures will be charged the full amount of the room reservation.
Breakfast. Your room rate includes a full breakfast, prepared fresh daily and served by candlelight, in the dining room, on antique dishes and silver. Weather permitting, the fireplace roars!
House Rules: There is no smoking permitted in The Schooler House. Due to the numerous antiques on the premises, children and pets are discouraged. Check in time is from 2:00 to 6:00 and check out time is 11:00. Guests may bring luggage by The Schooler House prior to check-in time if arranged with the owner in advance.
